RESGATANDO A CASTIDADE

Quando, em abril deste ano, os cantores Jonas Brothers anunciaram que usariam um anel de pureza e que manteriam a virgindade até o casamento, as reações foram interessantes. Os jovens fãs aplaudiram a decisão e a coragem dos irmãos. Alguns adotaram o anel, mas, mais importante que isso, adotaram a idéia. Os pais sentiram-se aliviados e felizes, enfim uma boa influência vinda do mundo Pop, no entanto, os sexólogos de plantão não tardaram a dizer que era apenas "modismo", "o jovem é incapaz de escolher a abstinência".

Castidade? Por quê? Para que? Como? É possível?

A verdade é que, além dos palcos, muitos jovens vem se questionando sobre essa virtude: Será, mesmo, que é impossível manter-se casto? Por que aceitar os pensamentos que a sociedade tenta nos impor? Por que aceitar que o jovem adolescente que admira a virgindade tem algum problema de socialização? Por que é necessário "ficar"? Por que é preciso ter um preservativo guardado para uma eventualidade?

Muitos poderiam perguntar: Quais as vantagens em manter a castidade?

Em resposta, convido a todos para que assistam ao vídeo de Jason Evert. A você que tem filhos, sobrinhos e alunos, converse com eles a respeito e repasse se achar interessante.

Deplorável o novo comercial das sandálias havaianas. Fiquei indignada, pois assistia à TV junto com minhas filhas, uma de sete anos, quando a senhora idosa, vovó da mocinha que deve ter seus 17 ou 18 anos, incentiva a neta a ter um belo rapaz apenas para sexo, nada de casamento, como diz a "pseudo-doce vovó".

Num momento em que se fala tanto das meninas que iniciam sua vida sexual precocemente, que não tem estrutura para encarar uma gravidez antes da hora, vem uma empresa como a das Havaianas fazer apologia do sexo pelo sexo, só porque o rapaz é bonitão? Tenha paciência. Usem o poder que tem na mídia para fazer o bem ou então, calem-se, porque de mal exemplo nós estamos cansados.

Convido a esses que tiveram a brilhante idéia desse comercial que procurem saber como é a vida de uma adolescente que sai por aí fazendo sexo com o primeiro galãzinho que aparece. Vejam as consequências na vida dela e tenham um pouco mais de respeito pelas mulheres.
